Role Summary: We are seeking a diligent and experienced Bell Captain to oversee the efficient management of port operations, specifically focusing on cargo movement and vessel coordination. The ideal candidate will leverage their M.Tech background to contribute to process optimization and operational excellence within the port environment. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of maritime logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the timely arrival and departure of vessels, ensuring all necessary documentation and clearances are in place.
Oversee the efficient loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to safety regulations and operational procedures.
Manage and direct the port workforce, including stevedores and dockworkers, to ensure smooth operations.
Utilize technical knowledge gained from M.Tech to analyze operational data and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Liaise with shipping agents, customs officials, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless port operations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime laws, regulations, and safety standards.
Respond to operational emergencies and implement appropriate contingency plans.
Maintain accurate records of port activities, cargo movements, and operational performance.
