Bell Captain

Role Summary: The Bell Captain is responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive experience for customers interacting with our delivery and logistics services. This role involves managing the coordination of delivery personnel, ensuring timely and safe delivery of furniture and furnishing items, and acting as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to logistics. The Bell Captain will play a crucial role in upholding Pepperfry's commitment to excellent customer service throughout the delivery process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the bell desk and delivery team.
- Coordinate and schedule delivery of furniture and home decor items to customer locations.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within the promised timelines and adhere to safety protocols.
- Manage and resolve customer complaints or issues related to delivery, returns, or product condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory, and customer interactions.
- Liaise with warehouse staff, logistics partners, and customer service teams to ensure efficient operations.
- Train and mentor new delivery personnel on company procedures and customer service standards.
- Monitor delivery performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding delivery status and logistics.
- Ensure all company vehicles and equipment are well-maintained and in good working order.
