Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Big Data Engineer with 4-6 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data engineering principles and a proven ability to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines. You will play a crucial role in leveraging big data technologies to extract valuable insights from complex industrial equipment and machinery data, driving operational efficiency and innovation within L&T Heavy Engineering. This role requires a B.Tech/B.E. degree and a passion for solving challenging data problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient big data pipelines for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data from industrial equipment.
- Implement data warehousing solutions and optimize data models for performance and accessibility.
- Utilize big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS EMR, Azure HDInsight, GCP Dataproc) for data ingestion, processing, and analysis.
- Develop and deploy ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality, integrity, and availability.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
- Monitor and optimize big data systems for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and big data infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in big data and data engineering.
