Job Description
Role Summary: The Billing / Planning Engineer will be responsible for accurate and timely billing of services rendered at the port and for supporting the planning and scheduling of port operations. This role requires a strong understanding of port logistics, project planning, and financial reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate invoices for port services, including vessel handling, cargo movement, and storage.
- Review and verify supporting documents for billing, ensuring compliance with company policies and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and commercial teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure timely payment.
- Develop and maintain project schedules for port development and operational enhancement projects.
- Monitor project progress against timelines and identify potential delays or risks.
- Prepare regular reports on billing status, project progress, and key performance indicators.
- Utilize port management software and ERP systems for billing and planning functions.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and cost estimations for port operations and projects.
- Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations in all planning and billing activities.
