Boom Operator

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Boom Operator to join our operations team in Vishakhapatnam. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) degree and 4-6 years of experience in managing and operating sophisticated boom systems, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and operational efficiency within the chemical industry. You will be responsible for the safe and effective deployment and operation of boom equipment for various industrial applications, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and maintain boom equipment, including hydraulic cranes and lifting devices, in a safe and efficient manner.
* Conduct pre-operation checks and post-operation inspections of all equipment to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational readiness.
* Interpret lift plans, engineering drawings, and operational manuals to execute complex lifting operations.
* Monitor and control boom movements, load capacities, and operational parameters using advanced control systems.
* Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, and other personnel to ensure seamless integration of boom operations with overall project timelines.
* Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with boom equipment, escalating complex problems to maintenance teams.
* Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance, and operational performance.
* Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and government regulations, including those specific to the chemical industry.
* Participate in safety training and drills, and contribute to a proactive safety culture.
* Utilize analytical skills developed through a BCA to interpret operational data, identify trends, and suggest process improvements.
