Bosun

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bosun to join our dynamic team in the Events / Live Entertainment industry. The Bosun will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of vessels and marine equipment used in event production and logistics. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of maritime safety, and the ability to manage a crew effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of deck crew and other marine personnel.
- Ensure the proper maintenance, operation, and security of all vessel equipment, including anchors, mooring lines, and deck machinery.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures, conducting regular safety drills and inspections.
- Manage the loading, unloading, and securing of cargo and equipment for events.
- Oversee the navigation and safe docking of vessels.
- Maintain detailed logs of vessel activities, crew performance, and equipment status.
- Train and mentor junior crew members.
- Respond to emergencies and manage crisis situations at sea.
- Liaise with event organizers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistical operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime laws and regulations.
