Buying / Merchandising Consultant

Role Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Buying / Merchandising Consultant to join our procurement and supply chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective buying and merchandising strategies for industrial equipment and machinery, ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. This role requires a deep understanding of the industrial equipment market, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to drive strategic sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for industrial equipment and machinery components, raw materials, and services.

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct market analysis, and assess supplier capabilities and risks.

Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize value.

Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing, sales) to understand product requirements and market trends.

Analyze market intelligence and competitor activities to identify new sourcing opportunities and potential threats.

Develop and implement merchandising strategies to optimize product assortment, inventory levels, and profitability.

Ensure compliance with all relevant company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
