Captain

Role Summary: The Captain is responsible for the safe and efficient navigation and operation of the vessel, ensuring the well-being of the crew and cargo. This role requires strong leadership, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive understanding of maritime operations and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Command and control of the vessel during navigation, anchoring, and docking.
- Ensuring compliance with all national and international maritime laws and regulations.
- Developing and implementing voyage plans and ensuring safe passage.
- Managing and leading the ship's crew, including delegation of duties and performance evaluation.
- Overseeing the safe loading, stowage, and discharge of cargo.
- Maintaining the vessel's operational readiness and ensuring all safety equipment is functional.
- Conducting regular safety drills and training for the crew.
- Managing ship's records, logs, and documentation.
- Liaising with port authorities, pilots, and other external stakeholders.
- Responding effectively to emergencies and incidents at sea.
