Captain / Master Mariner

Role Summary: The Captain/Master Mariner will be responsible for the safe and efficient navigation, operation, and overall command of a vessel involved in the transportation of raw materials or finished goods for JSW Steel's operations. This role requires extensive maritime experience and a strong understanding of maritime regulations and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Command and overall management of the vessel, ensuring the safety of the crew, cargo, and vessel.
• Supervise and direct all deck and engine department personnel.
• Plan and execute safe voyages, including navigation, route planning, and weather forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with all international, national, and company maritime regulations and policies.
• Oversee cargo operations, including loading, stowage, and discharge, ensuring cargo integrity.
• Maintain vessel's logbooks, charts, and other required documentation.
• Conduct regular safety drills and ensure the crew is proficient in emergency procedures.
• Manage vessel maintenance and repair schedules.
• Liaise with port authorities, shipping agents, and other stakeholders.
