Role Summary:
Lava International is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Environmental Consultant with 3-5 years of experience and an LLB degree to join our team in Noida. This role will be crucial in ensuring our operations and product lifecycle comply with environmental regulations and sustainability standards, particularly within the consumer electronics sector. You will play a key part in developing and implementing environmental policies and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret environmental laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the Indian consumer electronics industry, including those related to e-waste management, hazardous substances, and product lifecycle assessments.
- Provide legal and compliance advice on environmental matters to internal stakeholders, including product development, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
- Develop and implement environmental compliance programs, audit procedures, and risk management strategies.
- Draft and review environmental permits, licenses, and other regulatory documentation.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and sustainability reporting.
- Monitor changes in environmental legislation and advise on necessary adjustments to company policies and practices.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and government agencies on environmental compliance issues.
- Assist in developing and delivering environmental awareness training to employees.
- Contribute to the company's sustainability initiatives and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.
