Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Layout Engineer with a Doctorate/PhD to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the optimization and design of our manufacturing facility. You will work closely with experienced engineers and contribute to critical projects, gaining hands-on experience in a leading Indian paper manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and optimization of plant layouts for new installations and existing facilities.
- Conduct simulations and analyze data to identify areas for efficiency improvement in material flow and equipment placement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., process engineering, mechanical engineering) to ensure layout designs meet operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed layout drawings, schematics, and reports using CAD software.
- Support site installation and commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to approved layouts.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and methodologies for plant layout design.
- Participate in process hazard analyses (PHAs) and risk assessments related to facility design.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all layout-related information.
