Role Summary:
As a Cargo Agent/Officer within the CRPF, you will be responsible for the efficient and secure handling, documentation, and transportation of all cargo, including sensitive materials and equipment. This role is critical for ensuring the operational readiness and logistical support for various CRPF units and operations across India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the receipt, inspection, and dispatch of all incoming and outgoing cargo.
- Maintain accurate records of all cargo movements, including inventory, shipping manifests, and customs documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security protocols, regulations, and transportation laws.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external logistics partners for timely and safe delivery of goods.
- Manage storage and warehousing of cargo, ensuring proper handling and preservation.
- Conduct regular audits of cargo and inventory to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare reports on cargo status, delivery times, and any incidents or issues encountered.
- Operate and maintain cargo handling equipment as required.
- Liaise with security personnel to ensure the safe transit of high-value or sensitive items.
- Respond to emergencies and unforeseen circumstances related to cargo transport.
