Cashier

Role Summary: We are seeking a diligent and customer-focused Cashier to join our retail operations team. The Cashier will be responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, handling cash and other payment methods, and providing excellent customer service at the point of sale. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Scan and accurately record all items sold.
- Process payments efficiently using cash, credit/debit cards, and other accepted payment methods.
- Count and verify cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Provide correct change to customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve minor issues related to transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling and security.
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed.
- Upsell or cross-sell products when appropriate.
