Cashier - Investment Banking / Venture Capital / Private Equity (0-2 Yrs Exp)

We are seeking a diligent and organized Cashier to join our Finance Operations team in Chennai. This role is ideal for an entry-level professional with a keen eye for detail and a foundational understanding of financial transactions. You will be responsible for handling cash and managing financial transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the fast-paced investment services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and verify cash and cheques from various sources, ensuring accuracy against documentation.

Process daily cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments, using designated systems.

Maintain accurate records of all cash handled and reconcile cash balances at the end of each shift.

Prepare daily cash reports and submit them to the supervisor.

Ensure the security of cash and sensitive financial documents at all times.

Assist with basic accounting tasks as required.

Adhere to all internal controls and standard operating procedures.
