Category Executive

Role Summary: The Category Executive will be responsible for managing procurement activities for specific categories of goods and services within DP World India. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with company policies. The Category Executive will play a crucial part in optimizing the supply chain and supporting the operational efficiency of DP World's diverse business units in India.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and new sourcing opportunities.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including tendering, contract management, and purchase order processing.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide expert advice.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for consolidation and efficiency gains.
- Support the development and implementation of procurement systems and tools.
