Role Summary:
As a Category Head at Decathlon India, you will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, performance, and growth of a specific sports category. You will lead a team, drive commercial success, and ensure alignment with Decathlon's global vision and local market needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the category strategy, including product assortment, pricing, promotion, and merchandising, to achieve sales and profitability targets.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
Manage the product lifecycle from sourcing and development to launch and end-of-life.
Lead and mentor a cross-functional team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring effective collaboration with other departments.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create and implement effective go-to-market strategies.
Manage inventory levels and optimize supply chain operations for the category.
Ensure brand consistency and adherence to Decathlon's quality standards.
