Role Summary:
APIIC is seeking a diligent and legally-minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with 1-2 years of experience, holding an LLB degree, to support its financial operations and compliance within the Government / Public Administration sector. This role is crucial for ensuring fiscal responsibility and adherence to legal frameworks in our infrastructure development projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial principles coupled with legal acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and management of budgets, financial reports, and forecasts.
- Support the legal and financial aspects of contract review and negotiation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Monitor financial transactions and ensure adherence to accounting principles and corporate governance.
- Contribute to financial planning and analysis, identifying potential financial risks and opportunities.
- Liaise with legal counsel on matters related to financial compliance, taxation, and corporate law.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal financial controls and policies.
- Provide support in audits and ensure timely submission of financial statements.
- Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and laws impacting public sector undertakings.
