Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Chemical Research Scientist to join our dynamic team in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research and development in areas relevant to the ports and shipping industry, focusing on chemical processes, material science, and environmental sustainability. This role involves designing experiments, analyzing data, and developing novel solutions to optimize operations, reduce environmental impact, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute laboratory experiments to investigate chemical reactions, material properties, and environmental remediation techniques.
- Analyze and interpret complex experimental data using statistical methods and advanced analytical tools.
- Develop and optimize chemical processes for applications such as cargo handling, corrosion prevention, fuel efficiency, and waste management.
- Research and evaluate new materials and chemicals for use in port infrastructure and maritime operations.
- Investigate and propose solutions for environmental challenges, including pollution control, ballast water treatment, and emissions reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, operations managers, and regulatory affairs specialists.
- Prepare detailed research reports, technical documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in chemical research, material science, and relevant industry trends.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines in the laboratory and during field studies.
