Role Summary:
We are seeking a driven and innovative Chemical Research Scientist with a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree and 2-4 years of experience to join our advanced materials research team within the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and testing of novel chemical compounds, coatings, and composites for aerospace applications. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend design thinking with scientific rigor to solve complex challenges in aviation materials science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and development activities focused on novel chemical formulations for aircraft components, including corrosion resistance, heat shielding, and advanced coatings.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate the performance and durability of new materials under simulated aerospace conditions.
- Utilize B.Des principles to conceptualize and prototype material applications, focusing on aesthetic integration, functionality, and user experience within aircraft interiors and exteriors.
- Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to translate research findings into practical aerospace solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in materials science, chemistry, and aerospace technology.
- Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through patent applications and publications.
