Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chemist to join our team. This role will involve applying chemical principles and analytical techniques to support various operational and risk assessment functions within the insurance sector. The Chemist will be instrumental in evaluating the chemical properties of materials, assessing environmental risks, and contributing to the development of insurance policies related to chemical exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze samples of various materials to determine chemical composition, purity, and potential hazards.
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments using standard chemical procedures and instrumentation.
- Interpret analytical data and prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
- Assess environmental risks associated with chemical usage, storage, and disposal.
- Provide technical expertise on chemical-related claims and underwriting processes.
- Stay updated on relevant chemical regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine insurance products and risk management strategies.
