Chief Accountant

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Accountant to oversee all financial operations for our multinational presence in the Metals & Mining industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards and local regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the mining sector's financial intricacies, and the ability to manage a global finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the accounting department, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Develop and implement robust financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.
- Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash flow management and banking relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors.
- Mentor and develop the finance team.
