Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and diligent Chief Accountant to lead our accounting department. The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company's growth. This role is crucial for a fast-paced startup environment within the Oil & Gas sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and treasury.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and relevant tax laws.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
- Oversee tax planning and compliance, including GST, corporate tax, and other applicable taxes.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Provide financial guidance and support to the executive team for strategic decision-making.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
