Job Description

Role Summary: The Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations of the company, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of a comprehensive set of accounting records, and a robust internal control system. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of financial information, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the entire accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and treasury.
  2. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  3. Oversee the preparation and filing of all statutory and regulatory financial reports.
  4. Manage the financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
  5. Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  6. Coordinate and manage external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  7. Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  8. Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and banking relationships.
  9. Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
