Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) | Mangalore

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to oversee the financial operations of our growing startup in the TV/Radio industry. This role requires a unique blend of analytical acumen and creative problem-solving, leveraging a Master's degree in Design (M.Des) to bring innovative approaches to financial management and reporting within a dynamic media landscape. You will be instrumental in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring robust accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative accounting policies and procedures tailored to the media and entertainment sector.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards (Indian GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, marketing, and production, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Utilize design thinking principles to visualize financial data and communicate complex financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the finance department.
- Support internal and external audits.
