Chief Compliance Officer (CCO)

Role Summary:
Larsen & Toubro is seeking a highly experienced and ethical Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to lead and manage its comprehensive compliance program within India. The CCO will be responsible for ensuring that the company operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, particularly within the dynamic engineering and construction industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of corporate governance, risk management, and ethical business practices.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and maintain a robust compliance framework for L&T's operations in India.
2. Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's compliance program, including anti-corruption, anti-bribery, data privacy, and industry-specific regulations.
3. Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
4. Establish and manage a confidential reporting mechanism for employees to report potential compliance violations.
5. Develop and deliver comprehensive compliance training programs to employees at all levels.
6. Investigate all reported compliance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
7. Stay abreast of all relevant legal and regulatory changes in India and their impact on L&T's business.
8. Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and auditors on compliance matters.
9. Promote a strong culture of ethics and compliance throughout the organization.
10. Prepare and present regular compliance reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
