Job Description
Role Summary: The Chief Design Officer (CDO) will be responsible for setting and executing the overall design vision and strategy for Prana Studios. This leadership role will drive innovation in visual storytelling, character design, environment art, and the overall aesthetic quality of all projects, ensuring alignment with the company's creative goals and market positioning within the competitive Animation & VFX industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and champion a cohesive design philosophy and aesthetic across all studio productions.
- Lead and mentor the design teams, including art directors, concept artists, character designers, and environment artists.
- Oversee the conceptualization and development of visual styles for new projects, from pitch to final delivery.
- Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other creative leads to ensure design integrity and artistic quality.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in animation and VFX design.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and business development of the studio by identifying new creative opportunities.
- Manage design budgets and resources effectively.
- Foster a collaborative and inspiring work environment for the design department.
