Job Description
Role Summary: The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, including design, development, implementation, and maintenance of agricultural machinery, processing plants, and infrastructure. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of agricultural engineering principles and a proven track record in managing large-scale projects within the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering department, providing technical guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers and technicians.
- Develop and implement strategic engineering plans aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Oversee the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of new agricultural equipment and processing facilities.
- Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of all existing engineering infrastructure and machinery.
- Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines effectively.
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects and upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality control teams to drive innovation and process improvement.
- Troubleshoot complex engineering issues and implement corrective actions.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements in agricultural engineering and recommend their adoption.
