Job Description

Role Summary:
Aravind Eye Care System is seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead its financial strategy and operations. The CFO will be responsible for managing the financial health of the organization, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and driving sustainable growth in line with Aravind's mission to provide accessible, high-quality eye care. This role requires a strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, accounting, and risk management, with a commitment to social impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support Aravind's mission and long-term sustainability.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and financial reporting.
  • Manage the organization's financial risk, including identifying and mitigating financial threats.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements in India.
  • Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and integrity.
  • Develop and manage relationships with financial institutions, donors, and government agencies.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to the leadership team and the Board of Directors.
  • Drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the organization.
