Job Description

Role Summary:
Paytm is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead and manage its overall information security program. The CISO will be responsible for protecting the company's data, systems, and infrastructure from cyber threats, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and fostering a security-aware culture across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and the ability to translate complex security challenges into actionable strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive information security strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
* Oversee the design, implementation, and management of security controls, policies, and procedures across all IT systems and applications.
* Lead and manage the information security team, including incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, and security operations.
* Establish and maintain an effective cybersecurity risk management framework, including regular risk assessments, threat modeling, and penetration testing.
* Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, India's upcoming data protection laws) and industry standards (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
* Develop and execute a robust incident response plan to effectively manage and mitigate security breaches.
* Drive security awareness training programs for all employees to foster a security-conscious culture.
* Collaborate with IT, engineering, legal, and business units to integrate security into the software development lifecycle and business processes.
* Monitor the evolving threat landscape and proactively adapt security measures.
* Manage relationships with third-party security vendors and service providers.
* Report on security posture, risks, and incidents to the executive leadership team and the Board of Directors.
