Chief Legal Officer (CLO)

Role Summary: The Chief Legal Officer (CLO) will be responsible for overseeing all legal affairs of the company, providing strategic legal counsel to the board of directors and senior management, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations within the Indian media and entertainment sector. This role is critical in navigating the complex legal landscape of the broadcasting and content industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's legal strategy in alignment with business objectives.
- Advise on corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, intellectual property, media laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage and lead the legal department, including external counsel.
- Oversee contract negotiation, drafting, and review for all business operations.
- Ensure compliance with Indian broadcasting regulations, content laws, and data privacy laws.
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution effectively.
- Provide legal guidance on new media initiatives and digital platforms.
- Conduct legal risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Stay abreast of changes in legislation and case law affecting the media and entertainment industry in India.
