Chief Medical Officer (1-2 Yrs) | Mangalore

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and legally astute Chief Medical Officer with an LLM degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience to join our team in Mangalore. This role will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with medical regulations, developing health policies, and overseeing the health and well-being of our employees within the pulp and paper industry context. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both medical ethics and legal frameworks governing healthcare and occupational safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures compliant with Indian labor laws and environmental regulations.
- Provide legal and ethical guidance on medical matters, including patient confidentiality, informed consent, and liability.
- Oversee the provision of occupational health services, including pre-employment medical examinations, periodic health check-ups, and management of work-related illnesses and injuries.
- Liaise with external healthcare providers, regulatory bodies, and legal counsel on health-related matters.
- Conduct risk assessments for potential health hazards in the workplace and develop mitigation strategies.
- Advise on the procurement and safe use of medical supplies and equipment.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in medical law, public health, and occupational safety relevant to the paper industry.
- Manage and maintain employee health records in accordance with legal requirements.
- Contribute to the development of employee wellness programs.
