Chief Purchase Officer / Chief Procurement Officer (CPO)

Role Summary: The Chief Purchase Officer (CPO) will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of procurement and supply chain operations for Jindal Steel & Power Limited. This strategic role involves developing and implementing effective procurement strategies to ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of materials and services essential for the company's steel and power businesses. The CPO will lead a team of procurement professionals and foster strong relationships with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with company objectives, focusing on cost optimization, risk mitigation, and supplier performance.
• Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of high performance, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement.
• Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts, performance monitoring, and dispute resolution.
• Oversee the sourcing of raw materials, capital equipment, consumables, and services for steel and power plant operations.
• Implement and manage procurement policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze market trends, identify potential supply chain risks, and develop contingency plans.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (operations, finance, engineering) to understand their needs and ensure procurement alignment.
• Drive digital transformation initiatives within the procurement function, leveraging technology for efficiency and data analytics.
