Chief Safety Officer (CSO)

Role Summary: The Chief Safety Officer (CSO) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety policies and procedures across all L&T Technology Services operations in India. This role is critical in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors, and in maintaining compliance with all relevant safety regulations and industry best practices in the industrial automation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a robust EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) management system tailored to the industrial automation industry.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with all national and local safety regulations, standards, and certifications.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for employees at all levels.
• Investigate all safety incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
• Manage emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external safety consultants.
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to senior management.
