Chief Safety Officer (CSO)

Role Summary:
Cult.fit is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Safety Officer (CSO) to oversee and enhance all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) programs across its diverse operations in India. The CSO will be instrumental in fostering a robust safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and mitigating risks to protect employees, customers, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and standards aligned with industry best practices and Indian regulatory requirements.
• Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and root cause analyses to identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Establish and manage emergency preparedness and response plans for all facilities and operations.
• Oversee safety training programs for all employees, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations, including those from bodies like the Directorate General Factory Advice Service & Labour Institutes (DGFASLI).
• Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement, communication, and leadership.
• Manage and mentor the safety team, fostering their professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, HR, and legal, to integrate safety into all business processes.
• Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to senior management.
