Collection Head

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Collection Head to lead our collections department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize the collection of outstanding payments, minimize bad debts, and improve overall cash flow for our growing pulp and paper business. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute effective collection strategies to reduce aged receivables.
- Manage and mentor a team of collection specialists, setting performance goals and providing regular feedback.
- Monitor and analyze collection performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement and enforce collection policies and procedures.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with delinquent customers.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal departments to resolve complex collection issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to debt collection.
- Prepare regular reports on collection activities, performance, and forecasts for senior management.
- Utilize collection software and tools to track customer accounts and manage follow-ups.
- Proactively identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
