Collection / Recovery Manager

Role Summary: The Collection / Recovery Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company's accounts receivable collection process, minimizing bad debts, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments from customers within the Indian market. This role requires a strategic approach to debt management and strong negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to reduce aging receivables and improve cash flow.
• Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and initiate collection activities.
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans.
• Manage and maintain relationships with external collection agencies and legal counsel when necessary.
• Analyze collection performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant debt collection laws and regulations in India.
• Collaborate with the sales and finance departments to resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes.
• Identify and assess risks associated with customer creditworthiness and payment behavior.
