Commodity Manager

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commodity Manager to oversee the procurement and management of raw materials, particularly precious metals and gemstones, for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective commodity strategies to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and supply chain reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for key commodities such as gold, silver, platinum, diamonds, and colored gemstones.
- Monitor global commodity markets, analyze price trends, and forecast future price movements to inform procurement decisions.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance evaluations, and identify opportunities for collaboration and improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical sourcing standards within the gems and jewellery industry.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (design, production, finance) to understand material requirements and ensure timely availability.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and price volatility.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and work with the supply chain team to optimize stock levels.
- Analyze market data and provide regular reports on commodity performance, cost savings, and market outlook to senior management.
