Company Secretary / Compliance Officer

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Company Secretary / Compliance Officer to join our Surat office. This role is crucial for ensuring our firm adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining corporate governance standards, and supporting our internal compliance functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of corporate law and compliance procedures, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This position is suitable for individuals with 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role, who may not hold a formal graduate degree but possess relevant practical experience and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and filing of statutory forms and returns with the Registrar of Companies (RoC) and other regulatory bodies.

Maintain statutory registers and corporate records of the company.

Support in organizing and conducting Board meetings, Committee meetings, and Annual General Meetings (AGMs), including drafting minutes.

Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, SEBI regulations, and other applicable laws and regulations.

Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environment and advise management accordingly.

Assist in internal audits and compliance reviews.

Handle general secretarial work and correspondence.

Liaise with external agencies, government authorities, and legal counsel as required.
