Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment on all our construction sites, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and company policies. This role is crucial in preventing accidents, injuries, and property damage, and in fostering a strong safety culture among all site personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety plans and procedures for construction projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and toolbox talks to all site workers, supervisors, and contractors.
- Maintain accurate safety records, including incident reports, inspection logs, and training documentation.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel on site.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable safety practices.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to address safety concerns and implement mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated with the latest safety regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements in construction safety.
