Cost Accountant

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant with 4-6 years of experience to join our finance team in Mangalore. The ideal candidate will possess a B.Com degree and have a strong understanding of cost accounting principles within the water treatment and waste management sector. You will be responsible for analyzing costs, preparing financial reports, and contributing to cost control initiatives to ensure the profitability and efficiency of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and methodologies.
- Analyze project costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and overhead, to determine cost of goods sold.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, variance analysis, and profitability statements for management review.
- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing cost-related insights.
- Monitor and control project expenditures, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Reconcile inventory records and ensure accuracy of cost data.
- Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to understand project costs and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary cost documentation and explanations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost accounting processes and systems.
