Role Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Credit Analyst to join our finance team in India. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients, suppliers, and partners within the metals and mining sector. This role involves analyzing financial statements, market trends, and economic conditions to mitigate financial risks and support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of client and supplier financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Evaluate credit risk by assessing key financial ratios, industry trends, and macroeconomic factors relevant to the metals and mining sector.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for management approval.
- Monitor existing credit exposures and review credit limits periodically.
- Collaborate with sales, legal, and operations teams to ensure effective credit management.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices in credit analysis.
