Credit Manager

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Manager to join our finance team. The Credit Manager will be responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers, managing credit risk, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding payments within the Iron & Steel industry. This role is crucial for maintaining healthy cash flow and minimizing financial losses for the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the credit risk of new and existing clients by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and market information.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
- Set credit limits for customers based on their financial standing and payment history.
- Monitor accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.
- Initiate collection activities, including contacting customers, negotiating payment plans, and escalating to legal counsel when necessary.
- Prepare regular reports on credit exposure, aging of receivables, and collection performance for senior management.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to balance risk and revenue.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit management.
- Maintain accurate and organized credit files and documentation.
