Role Summary: The Credit Risk Analyst will be responsible for assessing and managing credit risk across various portfolios within HDFC Bank. This role involves analyzing financial data, evaluating borrower creditworthiness, and developing strategies to mitigate potential credit losses. The analyst will play a crucial part in ensuring the bank's lending activities are aligned with its risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis of corporate and retail borrowers, including financial statement analysis, cash flow projections, and ratio analysis.
- Assess the credit risk associated with new loan applications and existing credit facilities.
- Develop and maintain credit scoring models and risk assessment frameworks.
- Monitor the performance of the loan portfolio, identify early warning signs of distress, and recommend appropriate actions.
- Prepare credit appraisal reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for credit committee approval.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with business units to understand their lending strategies and provide risk insights.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes impacting credit risk.
