Data / Big Data Testing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Data / Big Data Testing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of our data pipelines and big data solutions, which are critical for our social impact initiatives. You will play a key role in testing and validating data accuracy, performance, and reliability across various platforms and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data applications.
• Perform data validation, data integrity checks, and data quality assessments.
• Test big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) for functionality, performance, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain automated testing scripts for data pipelines and big data solutions.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and project managers to understand data requirements and identify potential issues.
• Identify, document, and track defects, and work with development teams to resolve them.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
