Data / Big Data Testing Engineer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data / Big Data Testing Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases for our data warehousing, big data platforms, and business intelligence solutions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of our data pipelines and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test strategies, plans, and test cases for data pipelines, ETL processes, data warehouses, and big data solutions.
• Perform data validation, data integrity checks, and end-to-end testing of data flows from source systems to reporting layers.
• Test data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across various data platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data requirements and identify potential data quality issues.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools.
• Automate testing processes where possible, utilizing relevant tools and frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions related to data architecture and testing.
