Data Centre Operations and Server Management Specialist

Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations and Server Management Specialist to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of our data centre facilities and server infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of server hardware, operating systems, and data centre best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the health, performance, and availability of all servers (physical and virtual) and data centre infrastructure.
- Perform routine maintenance, patching, and upgrades for servers and related hardware.
- Install, configure, and manage operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to servers and data centre equipment.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures within the data centre.
- Respond to alerts and incidents, providing timely resolution.
- Manage capacity planning and resource utilization for servers and storage.
- Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of services.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency support.
