Job Description
Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Scientist to join our growing team in India. The ideal candidate will leverage data to drive strategic decisions, optimize operations, and identify new opportunities within the dynamic Ports & Shipping industry. You will work closely with various business units to translate complex data into actionable insights and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement advanced analytical models to forecast demand, optimize resource allocation, and improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze large datasets from various sources (e.g., vessel movements, cargo data, customs information) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Design and build dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility.
- Explore and apply machine learning techniques for predictive maintenance, route optimization, and risk assessment.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business initiatives and address critical business questions.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, analytics, and relevant industry trends.
