Database Manager

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Database Manager with a Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree to oversee and manage our critical database infrastructure at our Surat facility. The ideal candidate will have 5-5 years of hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, security, and disaster recovery planning within the chemical industry. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and performance of our databases, supporting complex business operations and analytical needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions to support chemical manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and R&D data.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for speed and efficiency.
- Ensure database security by implementing access controls, encryption, and regular security audits.
- Develop and execute comprehensive backup and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical data.
- Manage database upgrades, patching, and migrations with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and IT infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including schemas, procedures, and policies.
- Stay abreast of emerging database technologies and best practices relevant to the chemical industry.
