Role Summary:
Biocon Limited is seeking a skilled and experienced Database Manager to oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and performance of our critical databases. The Database Manager will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, security, and availability to support our research, development, and manufacturing operations in the biotechnology sector. This role requires a strong understanding of database technologies, data governance, and best practices in data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain database structures and schemas.
- Ensure database performance, availability, and scalability.
- Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies.
- Monitor database systems for performance bottlenecks and security vulnerabilities.
- Manage database security, including user access and permissions.
- Perform regular database maintenance, including patching and upgrades.
- Collaborate with IT and research teams to understand data requirements and provide solutions.
- Develop and maintain database documentation and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
