Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Debt Recovery Agent with 1-2 years of experience to join our team in Ludhiana. The ideal candidate will hold a BBA/BBM degree and possess a strong understanding of financial principles and recovery strategies. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of overdue accounts, contacting debtors, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding debts while adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contacting debtors via phone, email, and in-person visits to discuss outstanding payments.
- Investigating and verifying debtor information to ensure accuracy.
- Negotiating payment arrangements and settlement offers with debtors.
- Maintaining detailed records of all collection activities and communications.
- Following up on payment plans and ensuring adherence to agreed terms.
- Escalating complex cases to senior management or legal counsel when necessary.
- Understanding and applying relevant debt collection laws and regulations.
- Preparing regular reports on recovery status and outstanding debts.
- Collaborating with internal finance and legal teams to resolve issues.
- Providing excellent customer service to debtors while pursuing debt recovery.
